Here are a few of the many iPad Apps and Tools available.
Check out these apps and tools that I've included to help students achieve success. Each one has a link to the App Store followed by a short summary of what it does and why I recommend it. Most apps are free, or have been purchased by BHS for student use. Check back, as I will continue to add to this list as I encounter useful/cool new apps.
This app is an absolute must have! Everyday the creators of this app finds 5-12 apps that are free for the day. Oftentimes these apps are games; though many of these are educational. However, there are many apps dedicated to organization, photo-editing, studying, and more.
I will often download an app I have no current use for, because I can see a potential need for it in the future for myself or my children--once you buy an app, it's connected to the account forever!
The Infinite Campus portal is essential for students and parents to keep track of missing assignments as well as current grades. This is a necessity for students to help them stay organized and on top of their work.
Drive & All Things Google
Google Drive and the accompanying free apps are absolutely essential to student success. In the effort to go paperless many BHS teachers are utilizing Google Apps for quizzes, homework, and notes. Being able to access these quickly and efficiently will increase students' chances for success.
Quizlet is an awesome app to help students study. Students can create flashcards and other study tools to help them prepare for tests, complete homework, or learn important vocabulary.
Even better, many teachers create flashcards and study sessions on quizlet; making it even easier to study!
GoodNotes 4 is a paid app which has been purchased by BHS for all students. Students should be able to download the app from the Self Service app on their iPad.
This app is indispensible as teachers and BHS move toward being paperless. GoodNotes allows students to import notes, homework, maps, etc. from Google Drive, Dropbox--virtually any cloud storage app or website. Students can then annotate, highlight, or answer questions; then export it back to their teachers.

Class Dojo
Class Dojo is an app that lets students track the points they earn for the Gamification System that is in place in Mr. Bannerman's Room.
It's a greate way for parents to track how well students are working with Mr. B. as well! Please email Mr. B. for the code which lets you connect with the student avatar for Mr. B's room!
