This is the Character Creation outline and basic rules for the Star Wars game taking place in the Academic Intervention Room:

  • Fill out this form to begin the process of earning credits! Please note that completion of the form earns you your first 10 credits, and the form MUST be completed to play the game!

  • **Be sure to choose your faction wisely as it is very difficult and expensive to change it later! Click here for the rules on how to change yor faction.

Step 1:

Step 2:

Are you a Rebel? Part of the Empire? Or a Scoundrel?
  • Which team are you a part of? The Rebellion? The Empire? Or are you a "no good, dirty, rotten" Scoundrel? Track your Faction's total points, or follow your solo hard work on our LEADERBOARD!

  • There are two numbers you need to know for your character, both can be found on the Leaderboard (here):

    • Credits in Galactic Bank: This is the current amount of spendable credits you have in the bank. You CANNOT spend more than you have!

    • Total Credit Value: This is the total value of your Galactic Bank amount and equipment value combined. This number is the number which will be used to consider leaderboards.

  • Create an avatar for you character which will be hung in the AI Room (so make certain it is school-appropriate). If you create your own avatar, you will earn 30 credits. If you choose not to create your own avatar, one will be provided for you.

    • **Please note: once you have purchased at least 5 (five) items, you can redraw your avatar showing those items upon the character for an additional 30 credits. This can only be done 1 (one) time per quarter.

    • You can hand-draw, paint, design via computer, or even (with permission) design and 3D print an action figure! Click on the pictures to the right to access cool websites and docs you can utilize!

Step 3:

Step 4:

  • Want to know how you earn credits in our system? Click on Luke's Saber to the left!

Light Side Quests

  • As you play the game you can earn credits by completing quests for the Light Side (found here).

Step 5:

Dark Side Traps
  • You can also lose points by falling into traps of the Dark Side (found here).

  • Worried about losing credits? Click Vader's Saber to find out what to avoid!!

Step 6:

  • You can spend your hard-earned credits by visiting the Smuggler's Den. Items you purchase earn you in room privlileges; please see item descriptions for details. In order to purchase an item, you must visit one of the Den's workers (the AI Staff) so they can fill out the proper paperwork.

  • Curious how you can spend those credits? Come into the Smuggler's Den to find out!!!

Smuggler's Den
  • **Please note: some items have prerequisties. For example: you cannot purchase Armor until you have purchased Boots.

  • Items cannot be purchased unless the previous level item is already owned.

    • For example: you must own Level 1 Boots before you can purchase Level 2 Boots. You must also own Level 2 Boots before purchasing Level 3 Boots.

  • Items MUST be equipped to be used. Only 1 (one) item per slot can be equipped (unless otherwise noted). Equipped items are shown as stickers upon the avatar sheet hung in the AI Room. Therefore, if you wish to change items, you must visit the AI Room!

  • Finally, at the end of each quarter every player will lose ALL equipment, except his or her choice of 1 (one) Level 1 item. Every player will also lose 75% of their credits in the Galactic Bank.

    • This allows for all players to start on equal footing every quarter, and it allows players to make fresh, new, exciting characters when they want!

Please Note: All artwork, ideas, and information for this game are utilized for educational purposes only; and are the sole right of the artists or any companies who own the rights!

This year, we are using a new gamification system in the Academic Intervention room.

Students can earn points (credits) for their successes and good work, while losing points (credits) for failing to take care of business. The credits earned can be used to purchase equipment for students' characters, which translates to in class perks and priveleges. See below for the rules and outline for taking part in this awesome game! Be sure to see Mr. Bannerman to discuss any questions you may have about the creation of your character!
